I used this to replace a Radio Shack mobile speaker. I use it with my 2 meter amateur radio transceiver. The mounting bracket is sturdier than the Radio Shack and the speaker will handle more power. Plus it has a switch on it for a noise limiter that helps to eliminate some types of noise on the audio signal. I am very pleased with the product.
