I went for this particular model DF-283 because of the price, and Vivitar's reputation, BIG mistake! it broke 2 days after my 30 day store warranty expired. I called Vivitar, and they said a technician will call you within 48 hrs. after a week of no calls, i called back, and they said... we will send you a replacement at no cost, guess what... its been over 3 weeks of no calls and no replacement. this model is factory defective!
