After reading several reviews about replacement batteries for the Nikon D1, I purchased the UltraLast UL-EN4 (EP5497310). Upon receiving the battery I found out that the battery would not stay seated in the Nikon D1. I cannot say whether this is a problem with all cameras, I just tested it in the D1.In order to make the battery work, you need to hold the battery in with one hand, while taking the picture. Holding the battery in place wile taking a picture, does not work well. If you do not hold the battery in, the camera will turn off.I Have two real Nikon EN-4 batteries and one Lenmar DMNEN4 I purchased from [...].( Stock Number EP5439477). The Nikon and Lenmar batteries all work fine. However, I have not completely tested the Lenmar at this point. Recommendation, Buy the Real Nikon Battery if you can afford it!!! Other batteries seem to be a gamble!
