If you're going to spend 1, 2, 3 thousand dollars for an excellent model Nikon camera, don't risk failure by going on the cheap with a discount battery. The Nikon EN-EL3E is the way to go. I'll buy nothing less for my D-700.

I purchased this battery as a back-up to the one that came with my Nikon D90. It's a superior battery in my opinion. It holds a very long charge. It's a bit expensive for a battery, but the quality is excellent. I wouldn't use another brand after this experience.

I have bought this nikon battery and a cheeper battery at the same time and the cheeper battery battery did not hold up. I will never buy a cheep battery again. By the way my original nikon battery is still going strong and I am not having any problems with it.

This is a great replacement battery for my D90. Capacity was spot-on and I could just sit there on high-speed continuous all day long it seems. Although this battery seems to have a high-capacity charge, I highly recommend purchasing an additional battery especially if you are working in the field.

I have a Nikon D300. It came with a EN-EL3e battery. I have had it for a year and the battery level on the charging life meter has not changed. It still says 0 and new. So far so good...

I love this battery! It lasts forever it seems. My other camera goes thru batteries like water. I bought this battery for my Nikon and I haven't had to change it for weeks now - it's wonderful! It's so great I bought two more because it's hard to find a good battery.

I've used digital cameras for years and find that when traveling I don't always have a chance to stop and charge. I would never consider traveling without a spare.

Used with my D200. I Can shot over 1,200 sports images with this and still have power left! I own 2 of these batteries and would not leave home without them! I also found a small portable charger when on the road that fits right in my camera bag! I highly recommend spending the extra dollars for this one! You won't regret it!

I once left my camera on over night and most of the next day and then shot an event with close to 200 pictures, then edited the pictures on the camera and still didn't touch the battery power. Very long lasting. Highly recommend!

I recently did a 5 day backpacking trip. I took 2 batteries because I wasn't sure how long a charge would last and I wouldn't have access to power. After 5 days and over 400 pictures I still had 3 bars left on the first battery. I never even needed the 2nd battery. (Mostly day use with limited flashes and only turning the camera on to take the shot and then turning it off.)

I ordered this battery so that I have a spare, I never have to worry about running out of charge when I'm busily/happily shooting pictures - just snap in the spare battery and keep going - great for taking along on trips. After the initial charge it didn't seem to last as long as specs say but after 2nd charge and thereafter it has been tremendous.

Added this a a second battery to the battery grip adapter on my Nikon D-70. Replaced the rechargeable AA's. Lasts much longer and recharges faster.

Cameras don't work without batteries, and batteries don't hold a charge forever. I always have at least 1 backup charged and ready to go. It give me the sense of sercurity I need when on assignment, knowing that I have all the power I need to finish an all day shoot, and longer.

This battery is easy to charge and the right size to carry an extra in your camera bag or pocket. It stays charged for a LONG time!

I'm a scrapbooker and amateur photographer, and I enjoy going on "photo safaris", so I carry extra batteries. This battery holds a charge for a long time, so if I happen to forget my extras, I'm still okay for the day.

from some previous reviews, ive been getting the idea that its not the greatest battery in the d200 but i own a d80 and i never bother to turn it off. ive done a test by letting it sit on for a week and the battery could still shoot an entire high school football game and was still over 50% at the end of the fourth quarter. this battery is amazing in the d80 and i highly recommend it for anyone who uses the d80

The battery does not last very long if you use a D200 but that is easily worked around. Keep a spare it only takes a second to change.

My camera sits for long periods due to my schedule, and then I will take dozens of photos. I never worry about not getting the shots due to a low battery, if I do have to recharge it does so fast. Great product.

I've got a Nikon D50 and I don't have any issues with the battery at all. I've spent an entire weekend out at Walt Disney World, shooting up a storm on this one battery (I don't have a back-up) Works great for me!!

Works fine and dandy with the D70, I use a speedlight 600 and shoot raw, maybe that's why it lasts me all day. But yes, having a second on hand is a lifesaver. So buy a backup and swap them out so you never ever run out.

I to have experienced very poor performance with this battery when utilized in my D200. I can avg. a half day of shooting. But, in my back up camera which is a D70 the battery will last 3 or 4 days. And I shoot all day for a news publication in the area.

I am hoping Nikon steps up to the plate and makes this battery last longer on the D200 than it does. Also, they are out of them due to not making enough in production. Add those together and go shoot a wedding. Not a pleasant experience running back and forth between shots for a recharge. Yes, I had a second camera but I wanted the quality of the D200.
But... I love the D200. Awesome camera. Still love Nikon. Just bitter right now.

I work with these batterys every day and I am able to see how long they last, and frankly they really dont last that long. after a half day of good shooting, the battery is warn, and the charge is slow, then on top of that, an extra battery for a quick change out will set you back a cool 50 bucks. but all in all it sure dose beat fumbling around with 2 miniture batteries you can barly hold.
