A World First- Progressive Full High-Definition Video
The HD2000 features a Xacti HD lens, a high-speed CMOS sensor, and a newly developed high-speed processor to capture high-resolution images. These help it to record clear and smooth 1920 x 1080p full high-definition video despite the cameras light and compact body. The HD2000 is also capable of high-speed shooting at 600 fps/240 fps. Using this feature, you can view fast-motion videos, such as sports scenes, in slow motionimpossible on a normal camera.
Realistic High-Resolution 8-Megapixel Photos
Despite being a full high-definition video camera, the HD2000 can capture realistic 8-megapixel photos just like those taken with a dedicated digital camera. It can even record higher-resolution images at up to 12 megapixels (4000 x 3000 pixels), using real-time interpolation technology*3. Meanwhile, the Face Chaser function*4 can automatically keep track of up to 12 faces even if they move, giving you hassle-free and beautiful images.
Easy to Use on a PC
With the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format, its easy to save and playback videos on your PC. Its also easy to edit full high-definition video clips using the included software and show videos from your iPod to friends and family. This way, the fun continues even after youre finished shooting.
Comments about Sanyo Sanyo VPC-HD2000 Full HD Series Camcorder (Black):
This is a great little camcorder. I have NEVER seen better picture quality. There is no image stabilization, so plan to use a tripod/unipod.
It isn't the most comfortable design, and that takes some getting used to. I have big hands, and this makes them ache a little, but again if you're using a tripod, that's problem solved.
Good still images, but slow response. Better for posed pix, and not so great for sports/action. If need be, just do a screen cap from the HD video for sports shots.
I highly reccommend the HD2000.
