My family and I went snorkeling in Mexico and wanted to use the camera and case. Within three minutes the case had filled with water - and this is after we had made sure that it was on correctly. Ruined the camera.

The Flip Video underwater case takes your flip video camera to new heights. I just used mine at the jetties at a Florida State park while on vacation. The videos of my actual snorkeling trip were a great treasure to share with my family. The video was remarkably good as well as audio. We also used it at marine shows just to protect it from moisture. This has to be the best accessory for your flip video ever. I would highly recomend it to anyone that owns the flip video ultra. The best insurance for your camera while in questionably moist environments and underwater. I am most pleased with my purchase of the unit [...]

This case fails the basic functionality test. It hasn't been in water yet but it doesn't work on land. The on/off switch on the case doesn't provide sufficient friction against the camera body to operate the camera's on/off switch, making the whole thing useless. Applying 3 layers of tape to the side of the case switch inside the case makes it work but how long will it be before the tape compresses or peels off? Very disappointed in this major design flaw.
