THe batter was ready to use when purchased. It fit the charger that we currently have. The value is unbeatable. The battery costs $79.95 everywhere else and it was 1/2 the price at Ritz. I have told all of my friends to fill battery needs from Ritz for a fraction of the cost. AND it has a 3 year warranty
