It does not work in new developments. Adding new street (to modify the map) is not well understood. Street name comes almost at the intersection. It should be at least couple of hundred feets before. After missing a street it does not say something (e.g. recalculating) to understand the mistake. It just gives the next best option. Also the retailer's ad in internet searching, I looked at, was misleading. It referred the model as XL-S 300. I assumed, I am buying XL 300S for an excellent price. I talked to a sales person of Ritz Camera, who described it exactly same as XL 300S. I was very unhappy about this misleading marketing. I selected this one expecting frequent map updating option by TomTom. I hope that expectation works.

My wife and I use the product, transfer from vehicle to vehicle is easy. A real plug and play device.

This is an amazing machine. Its very accurate, and the user interface is very simple. Text to speech works every time and maps share is an added bonus. Most importantly, if you're like I am, value is unmatched. Highly recommend it!
