Quantaray's VersiPod 2 is one of the most versatile camera support concepts to come down the trail in quite a while. This beautifully made, ultra-strong lightweight walking/hiking staff works as a stable monopod adjustable from 46-3/4 to 62-1/2 inches. Open the strap near the bottom and extend the sturdy foldout legs and it becomes a fully functional tripod adjustable from 43 to 58 and 3/4 inches that will support cameras, scopes, etc. up to 9 pounds! Atop this amazing invention is something equally ingenious - a robust metal MagMount ball head with two interchangeable magnetic quick mount adapters for light and heavy devices. The MagMount adapters incorporate rare earth Neodymium magnets rated up to a 9 pound load capacity, and a safety clip for secure transport with or without heavy devices attached.

Other features of the remarkable Quantaray VersiPod 2 include twist-lock on 1.1-inch diameter aluminum main tube, leg extension markings from 120-150cm, ball head with true 8 90-degree flip-over for verticals, extra long 6-3/4-inch neoprene grip, handy nylon strap, hook-and-loop strap to secure tripod legs in monopod mode, and self-indexing leg extensions.

The VersiPod 2 weighs 1 pound, 10 ounces with MagMount head, half an ounce less with ordinary ball head and has a hiking load capacity of 100 pounds.

Comments about Quantaray Quantaray Versipod 2 Monopod-Tripod with MagMount Head:

I hate lugging a tripod when I'm looking for unique landscape shots in remote locations. The VersiPod is a really sturdy walking staff that becomes a stable camera support either in mono or tripod configuration. The mag mount worried me a little at first because of its small size but the magnet is powerful and the high quality makes it easy and secure to use. Overall a great product. I am recommending the Versipod to my friends.

Comments about Quantaray Quantaray Versipod 2 Monopod-Tripod with MagMount Head:

I use this product to assist in photographing houses for sale. It is great to be able to switch from a monopod to a tripod while moving through the house. It is also nice to switch cameras quickly. The only drawback is the collapsed size is a little long there are only 2 sections to the main pillar.

Comments about Quantaray Quantaray Versipod 2 Monopod-Tripod with MagMount Head:

I , used this 08/25/07 . My wife purchased for my B/Day . I usd it at Ramsey Canyon , Carr Canyon , Miller Canyon , and Sand Pedro House . Location Sierra Vista , Arizona . I used it on My Canon 30D , with Canon 28-135 , and my Heavy Sigma 50-500MM Zoom . Use light weight Magnet on Camera Body for Small , Lens , (light weight) . use the( Heavy Magnet ) on Heavy lens . Worked Great for light lens . When using Heavy lens , If there is a Breeze , or Wind , you must let everything Stabilize . Also suggest using remote switch , We were shooting Humming Birds , and insects some landscape.(I like it) . Also worked for walking stick .(It held all of my Equipement just fine) . I did remove Camera , and lens , when I moved to next place . Which was a Snap Do to Magnetic Hold. Just don't Get ( Over Ruff ). And it will do ( Great for many applications ).

Comments about Quantaray Quantaray Versipod 2 Monopod-Tripod with MagMount Head:

- Strap deceives - Not durable enough for hiking - No feet
- Ball will not support Nikon D200 due to mag mount vs weight @ 90 degrees
- Can't use while sitting down - Min adjustment is above eye level
- Bottom line good idea poor execution...not a treker and not a tripod....what is it?
