My handle snapped off on second use.. No receipt- guess I'll try to fix it myself. Very disappointing.

You can't beat the height adjustment, adjusting crank on the Ultra Pro is very precise. At 5' 10" I'm standing straight while taking outdoor photos. I replaced the head with a Bogen 3030, which required a screw adapter to mount my new three way head onto the Ultra Pro. You will also need to purchase a tripod bag carrier or leg strap to carry this bulky piece of photo gear. Bogen makes a carry bag and strap version. I purchased the bag version and strap it over my chest when hiking. Overall, you could pay much more for the combination, but I acquired the Bogen 3030 three-way head [...]using my company Christmas gift card, so [$]for the tripod is less expensive than purchasing a expensive tripod. Unless u purchase a carbon fiber one.

Tilt/Pan arm broke off during a photo shoot. Was told by the Ritz store in St. Louis that I had to contact Quantaray. Contacted Quantaray and haven't received a reply. (two weeks and counting!!)

I purchased mine at the Riverside Ritz Camera and have had no problems with it. It is easy to adjust and supports my camera well. For the price its great, I dont know what these feedbacks are talking about.

I got this as a Christmas gift after I picked it out myself. I opened the box, pulled out the legs and one of them fell out! As well as very hard to open and close the leg adjusters. My boyfriend ordered it online and didn't keep the receipt. So I'm screwed. Do not buy this tripod.

My pan/tilt lever broke after the 3rd usage, without a recipt, I wasn't allowed to even exchange this at a ritz store. After searing online, I see several complaints for the same problem. When I was trying to get mine replaced, I pointed out that the floor/display model had the same problem!
Other than that, it's a pretty ok tripod
