I love to scan both text and photos. When I scan text I like to be able to edit and reformat it. This is the scanner/reader to do the job. The photos I took in Europe are more true in color on this new printer, so I reprinted many of them. They are looking quite professional, I must say! You can easily copy a document, send or receive a fax, send files for printing, print two sides, and much more. This printer uses regular or XL ink cartridges for many, many images before refills. The only drawback, the tray for the finished copies is a bit lightweight, so be gentle. The price was really good at Ritz. I had enough in my budget left over for a two year replacement plan, just in case. This is all I had been hoping for and much more. I've been recommending it to all my friends.
